Life is short. Make it sweet

What a year we went through! Seriously, like a reel was rolling, and we were the audience witnessing such a traumatized incident. It was not an easy year. The world had endured social distancing, the economy dropped low, and more significantly, we lost our loved ones. We have survived so far, and in this difficulty lies strength and fortitude, for sure.

Uncertainty is a part of life, and nothing here is for granted. Many of us have woven desires to accomplish much in the coming days, but unfortunately, no one can assure you all this would get fulfilled. The misconception that was residing in me was I had enough time for my ambition, my fantasies, and for my loved ones. But no, I was mistaken.

Life is very short, and yes, I implore you apply these things to make it more productive and beautiful. And I want to recommend some of these points that will enlighten you in the best possible way:

Be well in the present moment:

Do you live in the past or do you think more about your future?

If yes, then you are not alone.

Most of us often think about our faults, regrets, and resentments. It’s time to let it go. Nothing is in your hands. Instead, you can learn from your mistakes and take a vow that you can be a better version of yourself.

A sense of dread is felt whenever you think about the future. But you know what? It’s all your mindset.

The mind is the ultimate level playing field. We experience worry, doubt, and anxiety while thinking about the future. You need to accept the unpredictability and look at how life amazes you.

Living in the present moment is the most powerful way to cultivate contentment in your life. Learn to be present in a balanced way, overcome anxiety, and develop fearlessness. Live more consciously, more purposefully, and more creatively.

Be ready to take a chance:

Life is a complete adventure and it surprises you at every corner. Just be ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities. It adds spice to your life with less risk and more excitement, or else you will feel your life getting bland.

And my dear friend, don’t pull back because of the fear of society, your family, or some other things. Live your life on your terms, though the thought of failure and rejections might hold you back.

But you must be willing to leave your comfort zone and take risks so that you won’t regret taking that opportunity in the past and live life to the fullest.

Make hope your only key:

In the journey of life, many ups and downs will come your way. It might fill your mind with negativity, but you still have to overcome those circumstances fervently and surround yourself with positive vibes.

Hope makes present difficulties seem much effortless to face. It lets you see the opportunities. You get motivated when you visualize your better tomorrow, and that can lead to a beautiful life. When I lost my job, I utterly broke down. Hope was the only key that pushed me forward. And after working hard continuously on myself, my life changed completely. So keep hoping for the best.

Appreciate the value of time

I am pretty sure you get immense happiness binge-watching your favorite series or movies all day. But that is only momentary happiness, not the authentic one. You might spend hours in such unproductive activity – resulting in nothing.

Here I am not saying you should not enjoy your spare time. Everyone needs downtime to unwind. But you should try to use your time at your full potential and be more productive.

Utilize the power of gratitude

In the period of COVID, I have learned the importance of simplicity and the value of those who we have near us. Life is too short for any regrets. Love your dear ones before it is too late.

You should be thankful for every opportunity that you get for your improvements, for those mistakes that taught you a valuable lesson, that brought an immense change within you. There are numerous things you can be grateful for.

Practicing gratitude surrounds you with positive things in your life. It makes you realize the priorities in your life as well as reminds you to thank others. Believe me or not, but once gratitude becomes your habit, you can sense your life changing. Overall, it is gratitude that brings happiness to life and makes it worthy of living.

Life is like a river, and you are the master of your boat. It depends on you how and where you want to row your boat. In the end, you will have just the beautiful memories. So, live every moment and make it sweet.
