Love Knows No Time

It was evening. A light wind was blowing. Anil was downhearted as he wishing to see Mina – he was missing her badly. It was a long time since he had got a chance to see her. A dusky complexioned girl with an average height, Mina, works as a teacher in a school. They were childhood friends. But he started getting warm feelings for her as he came of age.

Mina belongs to a middle-class family. However, they had nurtured her with all the love and care as they withered some of their dreams. Anil wanted to see him as a doctor. He was preparing tirelessly for the M.B.B.S. entrance exam. And after relentless hard work, his dream came true. He got the scholarship and going abroad very soon.

But before leaving, he decided to confide his feelings to her. So he waited for her to come home. He was excited as well as nervous. “What if she doesn’t think as I do? What if she rejects me?” These kinds of questions were haunting him.

Finally, she arrived. When Anil saw her, his legs started shivering with nervousness. And in a cracked voice, he said, “Mina, I love you. I want to spend my whole life with you and will take care of you as long as I live.” She was amazed. She could not believe what she heard. With tears in her eyes, she said, “Yes!”

A blissful bright smile was on their faces. The level of happiness rose to ecstatic as both were together now. Soon the day has come for him to go. He planned to meet her in the backyard of his home. Both of them hugged and promised to stay in touch.

As soon as he got into the university, he got occupied with the books and assignments. He was very concerned regarding his studies. Furthermore, he rarely got a chance to connect with her. Soon, his dismal mood was getting him out of the track. He, somehow, for the sake of her, put himself together and started to get back to his studies.

Mina was also working hard in her job. She missed him a lot but couldn’t contact with him. Her parents, who were still oblivious to their daughter’s relationship, wanted her to get married to their friend’s son. She could not disclose anything to her parents very soon. She was going through many ups and downs but was standing solid rock, never flinched to drain her out. The best thing about her is that she didn’t let the negativity invade her. She remained optimistic during all these hard times.

And one early morning, as Mina was walking in the park near her home, her wandering gaze fell upon one familiar face. Upon a closer look, her eyes got filled with tears of happiness. Yes, she was seeing her love, Anil, after five and a half years. There was contentment and relief as they both hugged each other.

He then discussed with his family about his relationship. But they were not in favor as her family was not up to their standard. He tried to persuade them by telling them how much he loves her and will wait for so long to be with her. She also confessed about their relationship with her parents. They were furious as she had hidden such a big thing from them and for going against them.

Both Anil and Mina were exhibiting symptoms of anxiety and overwhelming worry. There was immense love between them, and they couldn’t go against their families’ wishes. Though prepared for the worst, they also expected the best to happen. They were anxious but also hopeful that someday a miracle will happen. Their love was strength and with that energy, they were facing the hurdles of life together. In every step, they were fighting silently with this strength.

As they said, love wins, their families finally accepted them. They forsook their anger, ego, and pride for the sake of their children.  Everyone supported them with cheerful generosity. They finally tied the knot with the blessings of their families. The dream finally came true for both after so many ups and downs.

Love never perishes or never falls. It knows no bounds of space or time. It always trusts and always hopes and endures. It will survive any hurdle. It has the power to move the mountains. So, let’s see how many of you apply this power of life in your lives?
