The healing power of silence

Have you ever wished you could live a more peaceful life in this rat race of life – less frantic, less hysterical? As this pandemonium has taken over your life, you have no peace of mind. The obsession of setting goals one after another depicts how unsatisfied the nature of humans is. This disgruntled behavior sucks out the peace from within you. The more you become engaged, the more mental stress and tensions you will collect. Certainly, there is bound to an absence of tranquility and a quiescent mind.

Most people think that being in silence means staying at home just doing nothing and sitting on your cozy chair with your legs stretched out and your favorite music playing by your side. This is just superficial silence. Real silence comes from inside, it is within you. Real relaxation is the profound state of inner calm where the weight of the world is released and you can feel the presence of your extraordinary power. It is a state of great awareness. Your body releases energy so that you can be more aware. You will experience new things in which your body and mind heal and form a new perception that allows you to do things more precisely.

We all have practiced meditation at least once in your lifetime. Meditation is a technique not only for awareness or mindfulness but also for emotional and mental stability. Everyone meditates to unload their depression, pain, and anxiety. However, some get deviated from their path and choose alcohol, drugs, etc. or try to escape from them to comfort themselves. But being intoxicated will just lessen your awareness. One will get nothing except misery and hangover, of course!

Meditation or yoga is the gateway to inner peace. If you learn the meaning of silence you can upgrade your health, your perception. Learn to dive into the inner silence, you will soon see the difference. And this deep silence is so meaningful that you have to give it a try. It leads us to connect with our spiritual existence and the infinite expression of pure consciousness – the peaceful and expansive nature of who we are at the energy level.

Meditation practice specifically focuses on slowing down mental activity to assist present moment awareness – therefore, slowing down brainwave activity and accelerate to heal the body. It is a particular state of mind that enhances positive change in us. This state includes feeling more relaxed by decreasing your stress. When we practice each day, meditation transforms our perceptions and how we feel. Anyone and everyone gets benefit by allowing the body and mind to heal itself – to keep going, enjoy life and be more productive. If you keep your body relaxed, it will flush out the toxins naturally. It tries to maintain the calmness in your body and mind for the well being, both physical and mental.

Stress releases toxins in the body. As your body experience mental stress, the adrenal glands produces ‘cortisol’. This hormone is known as stress hormone which is responsible for weight gain, high blood pressure, insomnia, negatively impact mood, reduce your energy levels, and leads to diabetes. The longer you get stressed, the more it will hamper your body. Since the negative energy is releasing, your body will take longer to heal as it blocks the energy. Tensions break down the tissue and produced toxins in your body.

As sleep restores the body, silence restores the mind, the emotions, and the soul. So, make an effort to spend regular time with nature and understand the power of stillness and calmness of your body and mind. The moment you start to try seriously, you will get a whole new experience of life.
